All the ‘other’ boxes. South Asian. Non-binary. Neurodivergent. Femme. Gen Z. I’m even left-handed.
I grew up in a world not built for me. And it kind of sucked, so I work passionately to foster diversity, equity & inclusion, as well as youth opportunities within the creative and tech industries.
My favourite topics include diversity in all its spectrums. From how we look, where we’re from, how we got to where we are, who we love; everything that makes our minds so beautifully different. This means that I have a distinct focus on representation when working on projects, events and collateral.
I have partnered with many incredible organisations, including The Dots (see video below), Eric, Media Trust, MultiVerse (formally WhiteHat), Google, and Facebook in a range of capacities in my efforts to make a meaningful difference.
So far, have delivered 25+ speaking engagements, been involved in setting up over 12 events, spoken on 3 panels and facilitated 2 workshops in order to do this. Check out the video below, in which I interviewed people and directed the end product.
Google x The Dots
As a passion project, I supported the coordination of event logistics for a series of speed-networking and recruitment events aimed to tackle the lack of socioeconomic diversity within the industry. My role included interviewing all featured individuals behind the camera, project management, directing location and overseeing the final edits of the production.
The Google x The Dots - Fast Track 50 Programme span over 6 months and empowered 50 young people to connect with industry leaders and receive mentorship to equip them in their career next steps.
